About

Mitch Gann’s

Boomer Blog

Mitch I. Gann does not exist!

Mitch I. Gann  is my pen-name.  I have also used it as the name of a fictional character, but on this blog it is a pen-name. Maybe a persona.  I picked “Mitch I. Gann” (or just plain “Mitch Gann”) as my nom de plume because I live in Michigan.

This blog focuses on stories that might interest, amuse or terrify the typical Baby-Boomer, of whom Mitch and I are two.  Or one, if you want to get technical.

Aside from blogging, I teach writing and business communication at a major American university. I also oversee the website for an organization of 800 members. I have written a few complex computer programs (though not necessarily useful ones), and I have helped to organize and lead a labor union.

My interests include detective fiction, science fiction, military history, and American history (especially the Civil War).  I also like to read about science, especially physics and astronomy.   I have written some fiction and poetry, but consider myself a non-fiction specialist.

I live with three women and four cats. (One of the women is my wife, the other two are my daughters, and the cats are theirs.)

I grow old. But as they say, it is better than the alternative.
