		<description>The problem with today&#039;s presidential elections are the primaries.   There is such a thing as too much democracy (if that&#039;s what you want to call it). I say cut out the primaries, and let the parties pick their candidates themselves, at their convention, preferably in the very late summer.  Then have an intense six-week race to the White House.  If people want more democracy than that , then they should support third and fourth parties. But the primaries just drag out the process for too long, and it&#039;s hard to see that we are getting better presidents out of the deal.</description>
